Just back from a stay at this beautiful cabin and it checked every box. The place was exactly as described, clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed. No surprises, which is always a good thing. The location was a real plus too. Sitting between Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe means you have easy access to pretty much anything you’d want. The host responded quickly to questions and gave clear instructions from start to finish, which made the whole trip feel effortless. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.

Max’s place was exactly what my family and I needed for the weekend. We were able to relax, enjoy ourselves, and get some time away. The pics matched the residence. Would definitely stay there again.

Arrived to cobwebs, dog hair, and a bag of dog feces on the porch. Inside: stale smell, dust throughout, closed blinds, and a fridge with old food and expired condiments. Every smoke detector then began chirping non-stop. I messaged the host immediately — no response for 40+ minutes. The conditions were unsanitary, the safety equipment non-functional, and the road noise unbearable. We left 40 minutes after arrival. The host obviously did not prepare the home for our stay, refused to cancel, and kept full payment for a 5-night stay despite us not spending a single night. Airbnb is involved. I’ve completed dozens of stays and given all 5-star reviews, including the beautiful cabin I found when I checked out of this place. It takes a lot for me to write this. The neglected safety equipment alone is disqualifying — and I’ve since learned this listing is regularly deleted and re-listed, likely to bury prior reviews. Use extreme caution if booking with this host or one of his co-hosts.
